The Gatehouse Country Inn Bed & Breakfast was a 1900's carriage house, barn, stable and icehouse until the late 1940's when the famous musician and bandleader, Fred Waring, turned it into his elegant country home. Now a beautiful Bed and Breakfast located in the countryside of the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, The Gatehouse Country Inn is just miles from 70,000 acres of National Parkland, hiking, biking, skiing and river adventures on The Delaware River. Each of the four unique rooms are individually decorated with antiques and have a private bath. Breakfast is served in The Great Room overlooking the large courtyard and historic round icehouse--now a quaint antique shop. Come enjoy the beauty of nature at our four season retreat.

Directions From New York and points East Take I-80W to the Delaware Water Gap Bridge, take first exit (EXIT 310) follow sign for Rt 611S to stop sign. Go directly across to River Road. Go 3 miles through the village of Shawnee. We are 2 blocks past the Playhouse on the right. Driveway is just past the end of the stone wall. From Philadelphia and points South Take the PA turnpike NE extension (Rt. 476) North to Rt. 22E to Rt. 33N to 209N to Rt. 80E to EXIT 310 (DWG last exit in PA) make first left to River Road. Go 3 miles through the village of Shawnee. We are 2 blocks past the Playhouse on the right. Driveway is just past the end of the stone wall. From Points North Take Rt. 209S from Milford, PA toward Marshall's Creek then just past Foxmoor Village Mall bear left on Hollow Road then left on River Road. We are two blocks from the Playhouse.
