Beautiful Vermont country house with landscaped gardens and pool, providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Over 100 acres of hayfields and forests with lovely mountain views and woodland trails for birding, hiking and cross-country skiing. A separate entrance leads to one large private room with antique furniture, air conditioning and full bathroom ensuite. There is a choice of a king bed or twin beds as well as a pullout double sofa bed, ideal for 1 or 2 children. Situated in the Champlain Valley half way between Burlington and Middlebury. Close to Shelburne Museum and Shelburne Farms, Vermont Teddy Bear Factory, Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory and ferry across Lake Champlain to Essex, New York. Ski centers of Stowe, Sugarbush and Killington are just over a one hour's drive away.

Directions From Burlington, take Rt. 7 south for approx. 5 miles to traffic lights. Turn left on to Falls Road through Shelburne village. At first stop sign road becomes Mt. Philo Road. Continue 7.5 miles, past Mt. Philo State Park to private driveway on left marked Highland Way. Follow driveway 2/3 mile to very end to yellow clpaboard house at top of steep incline.
